Jon Martin
RevOps presales and delivery solutions architect, and the author of the Four Laws framework you’re reading on this site. I build the systems that sit underneath quote-to-cash, and I write about why teams and the software they build keep running into the same failure modes.

Day job
RevOps Presales & Delivery Solutions Architect, with an emphasis on system integrations and subscription management. Most of my clients are SaaS or professional services companies wiring together CRM, CPQ, and billing so the systems mirror how the business actually wants to work.

Outside of Process Pro, I run a small business sales and marketing coaching practice, drawing on having started, scaled, and sold two businesses of my own to help small teams build revenue engines that actually work.
This site, Four Laws of Complex System Design, is where I write up the frameworks I actually reach for on client engagements — Ashby’s Law, Conway’s Law, Brooks’s Law, the Reverse Conway Maneuver, and Beer’s Viable System Model — plus the flow and constraints thinking that ties them together. It’s the reference I wished existed the first time I had to explain to a client why their CRM looks exactly like their org chart.
Outside of work, I’ve been married to Sheila for 18 years, we’re raising three kids together, and I’m currently studying toward pastoral ministry and church leadership.
